JOB SUMMARY:
Our client based in Modderfontein is Urgently looking for an Export Clerk.

Salary: up to R38k per month (negotiable dep on experience)

The position would be office based at their head office in Modderfontein.

The suitable incumbent must be prepared to work overtime.

Minimum requirements
At least Grade 12 – an associated qualification will be beneficial.
Previous experience of at least 5 – 8 years is required.Experience within a technical/engineering environment would be preferred.
Must be familiar with computer programs e.g., Microsoft Office & Excel. Excel assessment will be conducted on the day of interview.

Culture fit is really important – Manager highly task focused. Team – relatively quiet, hard working. Perhaps someone with a little bit of energy to push the tasks and bring some excitement into it.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Examines shipping documents and verifies cargo to be released
Records customs clearance requirements and authorises collection of cargo..
Receives details of outgoing cargo
Arranges bookings of freight space and collection of goods from customers.
Clearing and forwarding exports experience
Assist with any Logistics calculations on Imports and Export Shipments.
Apply Import & Export Permits to the relevant departments
Control and manage companies export freight rates, note validities and update when necessary.
