Electric Design Engineer (Pr Eng)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in mining projects. The ideal candidate will bring 8 -10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions for complex industrial projects.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design

• Lead and contribute to the development of electrical design solutions for petrochemical and energy projects.

• Perform detailed electrical calculations, prepare technical specifications, and develop design documentation for power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and control systems.

2. Project Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and civil engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

3. Regulatory Compliance

• Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical engineering.

• Ensure all designs and installations comply with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

4. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

• Conduct risk assessments on electrical designs and propose mitigation strategies to ensure safe and reliable system operation.

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 5–10 years of electrical design experience in petrochemical or energy projects.

• Professional Engineer registration is required.

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM).

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
