An established engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join its Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (ECI) team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality electrical and instrumentation drawings that support engineering design, panel manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities.

POSITION INFO:
An established engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join its Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (ECI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality electrical and instrumentation drawings that support engineering design, panel manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities Produce and maintain electrical and instrumentation drawings based on engineering requirements. Prepare and update: Single line diagrams Electrical schematics Panel general arrangements Panel layouts Field wiring diagrams Cable schedules Electrical and instrumentation documentation Incorporate manufacturing and commissioning red-line mark-ups into final as-built drawings. Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and project documentation. Ensure drawings comply with company standards, client specifications and applicable IEC and NEMA standards . Provide accurate drawing information to engineers, panel manufacturing teams and equipment suppliers. Maintain and improve drafting standards, templates, title blocks, symbol libraries and drawing numbering systems. Plan and prioritise drafting activities across multiple projects. Resolve routine drafting issues and escalate technical design queries to the responsible engineer. Identify and recommend improvements to drafting processes and standards. Ensure drawings and revisions are issued accurately and within required project timelines. Minimum Requirements Qualification in Electrical Draughting, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical drafting , preferably within an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of electrical drawings and drafting practices. Sound knowledge of applicable IEC and NEMA standards . Experience working with engineering teams, panel manufacturers and equipment suppliers. Strong understanding of drawing revision control and as-built documentation. Core office hours are 09:00-15:00 , with hybrid working arrangements considered subject to project requirements and management approval.
