SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas / petrochemical environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex projects across upstream, midstream, or downstream facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant system design and execution.

POSITION INFO:

Design and develop electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Perform control system design (PLC, SCADA, HMI integration)
Develop and review P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics
Conduct site inspections, fault finding, and commissioning
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
Interface with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Support project delivery within budget, scope, and timelines
Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases
Assist in risk assessments and hazard studies (HAZOP, FMEA)
Minimum Requirements
BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3–8 years’ experience in EC&I within industrial, mining, energy, or EPCM environments
Strong knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) and SCADA systems
Experience with instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level)
Familiarity with relevant standards (IEC, SANS, ISO)
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites
Preferred Requirements
Professional registration (ECSA) or working towards it
Experience in renewable energy, water treatment, or process plants
Knowledge of hazardous area classifications (ATEX / IECEx)
