SUMMARY:
Pr /PR tech Required at Consulting - EPCM Company. 1 year Contract in the Northern Cape. The client needs solid skills and experience on EPC/EPCM environment with a good understanding of Instrumentation and solid skills in Electrical Engineering. Will be responsible to do System design and assist with Project Management.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Electrical Engineer (EPC/EPCM Projects)

Location: Pretoria East, but projects are based in the Northern Cape

Salary Range: Market Related

The role is for a person who is willing to work on a 1 year Contract working in the Northern Cape

One of our consulting clients has a position available in the EPCM Design Centre for a Professional Electrical Engineer/ Technologist

Company renders EPC and EPCM services to the Mining Government and Power Industries. (Inclusive of renewable energy Projects)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Qualification and PR status at ECSA required
B. Eng. or B. Tech. (Electrical/electronic Engineering
PR Eng/ PR Tech ECSA

Software skills:

Ideally have skills in some of the following:

Design Tools:AutoCad
Understanding of Integrated Design Tools e.g. Bentley, SmartPlant or DesSoft
Analysis Tools:ETAP;DIGSILENT;RETICMASTER

Other Requirements:

Must have 5 years of relevant Electrical System design experience in EPC/ EPCM environment
Strong knowledge of electrical design requirements & practices through the various project execution phases, preferably in the mining or industrial sector
Experience on brown fields projects and/or projects requiring integration with existing systems
Experience in FAT and commisioning of electrical systems
Sound communication, negotiation, interpersonal and coordination skills

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Will render Professional Consulting services in the EPCM field and work mainly on Brownfields Project

Focus will be a Mining Project
Must be able to function well in asmall team environment
Must be able to deliver the electrical design in totality with the help of the draughtsmen
Will be required to travel to project sites, on an as needed basis, to support the design and/or construction activities
