SUMMARY:
Great opportunity for a Professionally registered Electrical Engineer to join a reputable consulting firm in Cape Town. Use your extensive Electrical and instrumentation design experience to run projects within South Africa and Africa in a variety of industries.

POSITION INFO:

Detailed Engineering Design and Specifications

Project Management including cost control, payment certificates, project scheduling and recording of minutes

As built documentation and drawings

Responsible for Tender documentation and Tender Adjudication

Handling of contract documentation

Responsible for assessing and preparing fee proposals

Must conduct initial Audits to ascertain the scope of work

Must conduct testing and commissioning

Skills & Experience:

Computer literate (Advanced Excel, MS Project, MS Office Suit)

Extensive experience with AutoCAD design software

MV Reticulation

Power Harmonic Analysis & Filtering

Dynamic Power Factor correction

Experience with communication networks is advantageous

Earthing and Lightning Protection

Solar / PV systems experience will be advantageous

Motor controls

Diversified load calculations experience will be advantageous

Circuit breaker Cascading and Discrimination

Minimum 10 years’ experience with Electrical/instrumentation design

Must be professionally registered

Qualification:

B Eng. / BSc. / B Tech Electrical Engineering

Pr Eng / Pr Tech (Electrical)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
