Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical maintenance and installations.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs and planned maintenance on all electrical equipment on site
• Perform electrical installations on new equipment
• Modify and improve existing equipment (with approval) to optimise capacity
• Ensure legal compliance of all electrical installations and equipment
• Manage a team of electricians, assistants, and apprentices
• Diagnose faults and repair machinery
• Allocate equipment and materials for daily tasks
• Ensure adherence to safety standards
• Coordinate, monitor, and report on team performance
• Plan daily work schedules and ensure effective shift cover
• Manage overtime within budget
• Control and order critical spare parts

• Electrical Trade Test
• Minimum 10 years’ supervisory experience
• Wireman’s Licence (Advantageous)
• NTC6 in Electrical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment and industry tools
• Understanding of power reticulation, control systems, and equipment ranging from 12V to 11KV
• Fault-finding and problem-solving on industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with transformers, PLCs, and Variable Speed Drives
• Knowledge of instrumentation and equipment repairs
• Ability to work under pressure, in dusty conditions, and extended hours
• Willing to perform standby duties
• Ability to switch and fault-find on MV switchgear
