SUMMARY:

A specialist electrical engineering and panel-building environment is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to manage the delivery of electrical and PLC panel projects from planning through to FAT and delivery. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical ownership and structured project execution.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned electrical projects from a technical, planning, and commercial perspective. You will oversee project scheduling, documentation, procurement, and workshop coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. This role sits within a supplier/manufacturing environment focused on electrical panels and PLC-related systems.

Education:

Diploma / BTech / BEng in Electrical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3–5 years’ experience managing electrical projects in a supplier or panel-building environment
Strong understanding of electrical panel construction and project workflows
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Experience coordinating procurement and expediting materials
Knowledge of electrical installation practices and compliance standards
Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and manage project schedules and milestones
Review client drawings and ensure technical documentation is approved and current
Coordinate procurement packages, quotations, and order approvals
Expedite materials and components to meet production schedules
Manage project budgets and handle scope changes with clients
Coordinate workshop bookings and production timelines
Ensure all drawings, revisions, and documentation are correct for manufacturing
Compile project databooks and support quality inspections and FATs
Maintain accurate project records and reporting to management
