SUMMARY:
Experienced electrical technician on Coal fired power generation plant.

POSITION INFO:

This senior position will suit a qualified Electrician with a matric, technical qualification and Trade Test, and a minimum of 8 years experience on a fossil fuel power plant with LV, MV and HV work including switchgear, power transformers, electrical boards, motors, starters and batteries. A knowledge of plant safety, High Voltage regulations and Permit to work systems is essential as is experience with fault finding, panel wiring, protection communication and fault analysis (SEL Relays), Automatic Voltage regulators, as well as sound Project Management skills. Responsibilities will include plant investigations and optimization and close support of the Electrical Department Manager, with particular emphasis on assignments and projects as necessary.
