SUMMARY:
An electrical engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Systems Design Engineer.

POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our engineering design team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a range of projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, efficiency goals, and client specifications. Whether working on advanced infrastructure, building systems, or energy distribution networks, you’ll contribute to creating safe, sustainable, and future-ready electrical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design low and medium voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and control systems.
Create technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and detailed design packages using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit assessments.
Ensure that all designs meet relevant codes and standards (e.g., BS7671, IEC, NEC, and IEEE).
Support tendering processes, specification writing, and technical bid evaluations.
Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and contractors.
Provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical systems design within consultancy, construction, or industrial environments.
Proficiency in design and simulation software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux, ETAP, and Revit MEP).
Strong understanding of relevant regulations and design standards.
Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
