SUMMARY:
A mining equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer with experience in Underground Mining Equipment and environments highly preferable. This position will provide pre-sales, installation, and post-sales engineering support to customers, distributors and OEMs,
as required throughout, but not limited to, Southern Africa. The Systems Engineer will become one of the local technical Subject Matter Experts for all products available to the market.

POSITION INFO:
A mining equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer with experience in Underground Mining Equipment and environments highly preferable. This position will provide pre-sales, installation, and post-sales engineering support to customers, distributors and OEMs,
as required throughout, but not limited to, Southern Africa. The Systems Engineer will become one of the local technical Subject Matter Experts for all products available to the market.

Qualifications / Skills
- BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar Engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in underground mining environment preferred
- Experience with underground mine production and auxiliary Equipment preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Safety oriented (Safety is the #1 priority at Matrix)
- Positive attitude & team player
- Quality minded, resourceful and dependable
- Excellent interpersonal communication & computer skills

Requirements
- Possess or obtain a statutory South African driver’s license and keep it in good standing at all times
- Possess or obtain an internationally approved passport and keep it in good standing at all times
- Possess or obtain and keep in good standing all Certifications as required by customers in order to perform work on customer premises.

Travel
The Systems Engineer will be required to travel throughout Southern Africa and to potential overseas locations as required
