Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to lead electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities across our heavy industrial projects.
The Role
As
Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site-based electrical teams, ensuring all electrical work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, liaising with project managers, contractors, and health & safety officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on heavy industrial sites.
- Coordinate and manage electricians and electrical subcontractors.
- Interpret electrical drawings and ensure work is completed to design and specification.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, standards, and site safety regulations.
- Plan daily work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to safety standards.
- Communicate with engineers, project managers, and other trades on project progress.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, PPE, and electrical testing equipment.
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and materials requisitions.
Requirements
- Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Red Seal, or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- Proven experience in heavy industry sectors such as mining, oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (motors, MCCs, control panels, PLC wiring).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
