Job Vacancy: Electrician with Wireman's Certificate Location: Marikana, North West Type: Contractor Reporting to: Manager Job Purpose The Electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding activities for a water treatment plant project on an operational mine site. The role ensures all electrical work meets safety standards, regulations, and SANS requirements. Key Responsibilities Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment for the water treatment plant. Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications. Perform inspection, testing, and fault-finding on electrical installations to ensure safe operation. Ensure compliance with mine site rules, regulations, and relevant standards. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and safety personnel to ensure work completion. Identify electrical hazards and take necessary precautions. Support maintenance and commissioning activities during project execution. Requirements Grade 12 \/ Matric qualification. Qualified Electrician with a Trade Test certificate. Wireman's License with the ability to issue Certificates of Compliance. Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning. Knowledge of mining safety requirements and procedures. Experience in industrial or mining-related projects is advantageous. Good understanding of electrical installation regulations and testing procedures.
