JOB SUMMARY:
Great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a Market Leader in the Building Services Industry. In this position, you will work on a variety of exciting projects, specializing in Electronic Building Services Design and conducting site investigations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Electronic Building Services Design (CCTV, access controls, Fire Detection, etc)

Project management

Financial reports for projects

Meeting with manufacturers and suppliers

Site investigation for electronic services

Attending project meetings for client requirements

Providing cost estimates

Detail drawings and designs for electronic services

Specifications and tender documentation

Compiling bill of quantities

Must be willing to travel

Skills & Experience:

Must have experience in structured cabling and network design

Security systems like CCTV, access control design experience

IT Design

Ability to meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Experience in smoke detection, voice evacuation and Gas suppression systems

Experience in Building management and Monitoring system design

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience in electronic design for building services

Qualification:

BEng/BSc/BTech Electrical and Electronic Engineering

PR.Eng / PR.Tech registration is Ideal

Qualification in Green building design is advantageous

SAQCC, CDCDP, uptime is advantageous

Valid Drivers’ license

Revit MEP Services competency is advantageous

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
