SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for an Electronic Hardware Design engineer. International Projects. Clients are in the defence and aerospace field. Hardware design engineer required to assist with Product Development mainly for Aeronautical Clients.

POSITION INFO:
Hardware Electronic Designer/Engineer
Johannesburg Area, Midrand

Electronic Engineer required for hardware development.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

National Diploma/ Btech/ B. Eng. in Electronic Engineering
At least 3 years’ experience, in an electronic hardware development role
Experience in development environment
Application Lifecycle Management
MS Office and -Project
Altium (Schematic, placement and routing)
Matlab/Octave and mechanical CAD will be an advantage

Knowledge of :

Power Supply design – DC to DC and switch-mode
Interface design –
Serial including RS422, RS485, RS232, Manchester, I2C, SPI, PCI and PCI Express
Microprocessor design
FPGA
Languages VHDL, ABEL and HDL

Responsibilities:

Develop hardware electronic designs.
Will do electronic Product development that will interfacing with the mechanical and PCB CAD personnel
Analysis of user requirements and architectures
Documentation of electronic designs
Develop acceptance test procedures
Interface with system engineers, other designers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Generate complete, accurate and sufficiently detailed data packs
Generate engineering documentation sets and design files
