We have a Super Exciting opportunity for an Electronic Hardware Engineer to design Electronic Components in the Commercial/Scientific Sector, Jhb

POSITION INFO:

Qualification Essential:

B-Eng or BSc degree in Electronic Engineering

Technical and Specialist Skill requirements:

3-years’ experience PCB electronic design
Proficiency in Altium Designer work environment
Digital, Analogue and RF experience essential
Experience with the use of Electronic Test and Measurement Equipment
Experience in an Electronic Simulation Environment
Fault Finding to component level
Understanding of Schematics
Knowledge of EMI & Safety Standards
Strong soldering ability

Key Accountabilities:

Design electronic components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or scientific applications
Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment
Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair
Ability to build prototypes by hand
Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations
Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance
Analyse the needs of internal customers to determine system requirements and the cost of developing electronic system plans
Conduct system evaluations and make appropriate recommendations to modify designs or repair equipment as needed
Identify and recommend system improvements to improve technical performance
Define and execute testing and maintenance procedures for electronic software and components
Inspect electronics to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards
