Electronic Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client based in the East Rand is looking for a Electronics Technician to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric is essential
• 2-3 years experience within electronics
• Must have knowledge of the fundamentals of electronics
• Must be capable to do fault finding and preferably be able to repair and/or maintain electronic products
• Good knowledge of security control room operations and monitoring software
• Good Excel and basic networking skills

• Assist and advise customers telephonically regarding technical matters, correct installation procedures / methods, equipment features and operation
• Log, record, report and follow up support calls
• Monitor and report on the company’s various communications infrastructures
• Field repairs, maintenance and installation of radio equipment / systems (base stations /repeaters) whilst adhering to correct procedures and quality standards
• Travel when necessary to both national and international customers
• Report directly to the Technical Manager and assist technical staff when required
• Assist where necessary with the general everyday requirements of the Technical department
• Assist Sales and Marketing department with customer visits, exhibition stands etc
• Share after hours standby support responsibilities with the company’s other technical staff
• Always uphold the professional image of the company
