  The Role:

  Essential function:

  • Provide employee relations support that aligns with priorities of the business.
  • Enable organisational changes that drive sound employment relations; give direction, assurance and provide specialist advice and support to HRBPs, line Management, and employees.
  • Assist in the application of ER policies and procedures, enabling a fair, respectful, diverse and high-performance culture.

  Partner with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) and stakeholders to:-

  • Provide employee and labour relations support and advice;
  • Investigation of matters and/or assist management with investigations;
  • Draft and issue of all ER related documents which will include but not be limited to: counselling sessions, notice to attend a disciplinary enquiry, grievance matters, warnings, notice of dismissal, suspension, etc.
  • Inform strategies and build action plans to foster and maintain a sound and healthy ER environment;
  • Deliver targeted ER training to Managers and HRBPs, as well as policy specific training to employees; and
  • Capture and maintain ER reporting data, identify trends and analyse same for risk mitigation where necessary.
  • Attend to disputes at the CCMA/Bargaining Council as the Company Representative and draft of opposing correspondence where necessary.
  • Drafting of correspondence which includes opposing affidavits, recessions, trade union correspondence etc.
  • Liaison with Collective Bargaining councils and professional bodies
  • Be informed, research and keep up to date with the South African Labour Law and various acts.
  Skills and Experience:

  Essential Qualification:

  • Degree in Industrial Relations / Labour Law or Social Sciences
  • â?¢ Postgraduate diploma in relevant legal field

  Experience required:

  • A min of 6 yearsâ?? experience in a similar role preferably in the areas employee relations, labour relations and HR business partnering in a high-performance environment.
  • A track record of delivery of employee relations initiatives that drive consistency and efficiency within a high-performance environment
