Human Resources Manager

Location: Sandton
Salary: R55,000 – R60,000 CTC per month
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Reporting Line: Reports into Managing Director / Executive Leadership

Role Overview

An established, fast-paced and growth-oriented organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take full ownership of the HR function. This role combines both strategic and operational responsibilities, requiring an individual who can execute day-to-day HR activities while also shaping and driving the overall people strategy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust HR processes, ensuring compliance, enhancing employee experience, and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This role requires a high level of discretion, strong stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of South African labour legislation.

Key Duties

Define and report on HR KPIs to support strategic decision-making
Drive and enhance the overall employee experience across the full lifecycle
Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
Oversee performance management frameworks and support leadership capability
Identify skills gaps and implement Learning & Development initiatives
Support payroll with accurate employee data and remuneration inputs
Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and BBBEE requirements
Lead Employment Equity processes and reporting
Manage employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and CCMA representation
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives
Optimise HR systems and leverage technology to improve efficiency and reporting

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field (NQF Level 7)
Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience
At least 2 years in a senior or management-level HR role
Proven experience across recruitment, performance management, and L&D
Strong experience in Employment Equity and compliance processes
Experience handling disciplinary hearings, grievances, and incapacity processes
Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is advantageous

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, BBBEE, POPIA)
Experience with Skills Development and BBBEE reporting (WSP/ATR)
Strong HR analytics and reporting capability
Proficiency in HR systems and technology platforms
