Engineer in Training

Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering (completed)
• Maintenance major or strong maintenance exposure preferred
• Based in Johannesburg or surrounding areas
• Mobile with own reliable transport preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good administrative and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support plant engineering and maintenance teams with daily operations
• Assist with breakdown investigations and root cause analysis
• Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives
• Ensure engineering documentation, reports, and records are accurately maintained
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency projects
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Apply engineering principles to improve equipment reliability and plant performance
• Comply with all health, safety, and quality standards
