JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:

A progressive company that manufactures construction materials is in need of an Engineering Manager that is skilled in various disciplines to join the company and lead organisational projects. This company designs and manufactures construction materials for their clients in various countries. The desired candidate must have technical maintenance experience and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Although this role is for a Mechanical Engineer, the desired candidate must have electrical and automation knowledge or experience.

Education:

BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering (non neg.)
Government Certificate of Competence – Factories (non neg.)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager (preferably FMCG or petroleum).
Must have knowledge of formal standards (OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO9000, etc.).
Must understand PLC’s (Siemens/ABB/ Schneider - advantageous)
Experience working with automated equipment (advantageous)
