• Matric; Engineering Degree - Electrical or Mechanical
• GCC Advantageous, not essential
• Min of 5 years experience in a Supervisory role

Duties:

• Manage, oversee and monitor the plant engineering function and plant output and authorize the planning of all work Operations and Maintenance by Managing all O&M staff in the various disciplines, such as electrical and mechanical sections.
• Compiling, presenting and controlling of all engineering budgets.
• Ensuring that all projects are executed according to the project plan, within the time constraints.
• Occupational Health and Safety Act, Company policies and that all employees are managed and controlled effectively.
• Appointed as the competent person in terms of the OHSA, GMR 2(1) being responsible for the safe use of all machinery on the plant.
• Ensure that the company always operates within the statutory requirements as per OHSA thus minimizing accidents and ensuring the best safety and health environment for all employees of the company.
• Ensure the following scheduled maintenance is done and appropriate certificates issued.
• Compiling Engineering reports to ensure effective employment of the engineering team to maximize availability and downtime report thereby minimizing down time.
• Liaise with inspectors, professionals (third party/outsourced vendors) on technical details and specifications to ensure that all maintenance and projects are technically sound and correct and thus keeping abreast with all the latest technical developments.
• Ensure safe and good morale, capital and outsourced human relations guaranteeing the most productive output of all resources within company framework.
