Engineering Manager – Johannesburg Gauteng

Salary: R780-850K Plus Incentives

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an Engineering Manager based in Rosslyn, Pretoria, Gauteng. Applicants should have 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing concern, either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree, GCC Advantageous, not essential. Ideally a candidate who is able to follow instructions and lead teams. Salary: R780-850K Plus Incentives

Duties:

Manage, oversee and monitor the plant engineering function and plant output and authorize the planning of all work Operations and Maintenance by Managing all O&M staff in the various disciplines, such as electrical and mechanical sections.
Compiling, presenting and controlling of all engineering budgets.
Ensuring that all projects are executed according to the project plan, within the time constraints.
Occupational Health and Safety Act, Company policies and that all employees are managed and controlled effectively.
Appointed as the competent person in terms of the OHSA, GMR 2(1) being responsible for the safe use of all machinery on the plant.
Ensure that the company always operates within the statutory requirements as per OHSA thus minimizing accidents and ensuring the best safety and health environment for all employees of the company.
Ensure the following scheduled maintenance is done and appropriate certificates issued.
Compiling Engineering reports to ensure effective employment of the engineering team to maximize availability and downtime report thereby minimizing down time.
Liaise with inspectors, professionals (third party/outsourced vendors) on technical details and specifications to ensure that all maintenance and projects are technically sound and correct and thus keeping abreast with all the latest technical developments.
Ensure safe and good morale, capital and outsourced human relations guaranteeing the most productive output of all resources within company framework.
