SUMMARY:
Job Title: Engineering Manager – Paper/Carton Manufacturing (GCC Factories)

Job Overview:

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop the plant’s engineering and maintenance teams.
• Oversee all aspects of automated machinery and control systems, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
• Ensure compliance with OHSACT and legal requirements, including GCC Factories responsibilities.
• Implement and manage preventative and predictive maintenance systems and schedules.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase throughput.
• Manage engineering projects, including CAPEX budgeting, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Liaise with production, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Ensure the plant complies with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead automation and control systems development, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Develop training programs to upskill technical and maintenance teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc/BEng Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories) – essential.
• Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in a highly automated plant – ideally within paper, carton, or packaging manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, SCADA, drives, sensors, and automated production lines.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, TPM, and reliability engineering principles.
