JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, an exploration drilling company, requires a qualified Industrial or Mechanical Engineer to join the business in a project management and coordination role. The main function of this position is to support the GM and COO within their project management tasks, to ultimately streamline the responsibilities of the respective managers in order to ensure the best possible delivery of services. The ideal candidate is competent in problem solving and able to work independently.

Travel to other project sites across the country will be expected.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Assist the GM and COO in ensuring projects stay on track
Monitor workflow
Optimising Processes
Initiate, implement and support business initiatives to manage and optimize supply chain and business processes to ensure efficient delivery of services
Hands-On operations coordination and management with regards to Logistics, Health & Safety, Staff Management, Production, Resource Planning and other functional responsibilities.

Qualification / Experience:

A qualified Industrial or Mechanical Engineering graduate, with some relevant management experience in a small to medium organisation.
Mining or heavy machinery industry experience advantageous.
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
