Engineering Plant Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is a formidable service provider in the opencast Mining industry. They are looking for an experienced Plant Manager from a Mining environment, who have managed multiple plants simultaneously. The successful incumbent will ensure that best engineering practices are applied to the combination of engineering solutions as well as ensure that maximum value is added to the operations and apply compliance to legislation.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering qualification is not negotiable
• Management, Mining or Blasting related certificate or qualification would be preferred as an additional qualification
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager or Plant Head is not negotiable
• Minimum 10 years’ experience from a mining or quarry environment, exposed to opencast / surface mining as well as explosives trucks is not negotiable
• Must have previously enforced, comply and report on mining plant operations, financial control, safe and healthy working environment as well as Stakeholder Engagement
• Sound knowledge and experience working on SAP or Syspro
• Advanced experience with MS Office packages including MS Project
• Must have a valid SA driver’s license and must be willing to travel between SA provinces
