Engineering Superintendent (Mechanical)

Our client has an opportunity available for an Engineering Superintendent (Mechanical) based in Brits.

Requirements:

• A completed Mechanical BSC or National Diploma- mandatory.
• Government Certificate of Competence Mining- mandatory.
• 3+ years’ experience in Engineering in a Chrome Mining environment.
• High Level of Competence in MS Office.
• Knowledge and experience of the MHSA- advantageous.
• Strong technical skills.
• Have GCC factories and solid, relevant steel processing and manufacturing industry experience- essential.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and coordinate the maintenance plans for area of responsibility.
• Ensure adherence to legislation, policies and procedures.
• Engage relevant stakeholders to solve operational and engineering problems.
• Participate in RCFA investigations to facilitate problem solving.
• Identify and drive technical and process improvement.
• Drive safety, engineering, quality, and cost drivers.
• Implement Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence.
• Adhere to all MHSA regulations, SHEQ regulations and Company policies and procedures.
