Location: Cape Town - West Coast (Montague Gardens)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Equipment Support and Maintenance
Equipment Design, Fabrication and Prototyping
Production and R&D Technical support
Documentation and Compliance
External Engagement

Sectors: Engineering / Technical / Production / Manufacturing / Motor
Functions: Mechatronics Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Engineer - Mechanical

Skills Required:

Minimum 3 years experience as an engineering technician or similar role in manufacturing or R&D environment
Mechatronic experience imperative
Experience with prototyping, machine builds, customer jig/tool fabrication
Proficient with mechanical tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, grinders etc)
Competence in 3D CAD Modeling using Fusion 360 and or Solidworks for component design and jig development
Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, basic automation components.
Basic electrical troubleshooting, and understanding of low-voltage safety
