Enterprise Architect

SUMMARY:
12 month Contract position for an ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT at a Financial Institute in Centre Pretoria The main purpose of this position is to enable business and information technology (IT) leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritise current operational demands, disruptions and opportunities with a longer-term strategic vision of the organisation.

POSITION INFO:

Enhance and maintain the enterprise architecture framework and method for the Company.

Provide overall direction, guidance and definition of enterprise architecture to effectively support the business strategy.

Lead programmes to develop, maintain and govern the enterprise architecture across the Company

Develop foundation, reference and strategic level architectures for the Company.

Develop portfolio architectures and implementation roadmaps for directing large programmes.

Provide guidance to service providers, contracted resources and internal staff on enterprise architectures and the identification of reusable services and mechanisms in solution architectures and designs

An Honour’s degree in BCom Informatics/BSc Computer Science/BSc Engineering plus industry- specific qualifications or equivalent;

A postgraduate qualification in the relevant field (will be an added advantage);

A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in at least three architecture domains such as business architecture, data architecture and application architecture, with at least five years’ enterprise architecture experience;

Knowledge and experience on banking and payment systems.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate strong multi-domain experience with specific strengths in any of the following domains: business architecture, application architecture and integration architecture

Must have utilised architecture frameworks and methods such as TOGAF;

Working knowledge of architecture notations such as Archimate, UML and BPMN;

Must have used one or more architecture tools;

Working knowledge of EA governance and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
