A large company is looking to employ a senior Cloud Engineer with Java experience to work on exciting projects in the Johannesburg area. If you are interested in deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of a AWS cloud-based production system, please apply!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential and advantageous skills:

IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications / 5+ years of experience
AWS Cloud
PAAS
IAS
Experience in architecting and implementing solutions for scalable, distributed systems
Expert in Java / JEE
Security of AWS services, securing design of VPC architectures
RESTful APIs
Knowledge of design patterns
Databases/SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous)
NoSQL (Elasticsearch advantageous)
Unit testing tools (Junit/Mockito/etc)
ORM tools (Hibernate advantageous)
Spring Framework & Spring Boot
Experience with Java application servers (Glassfish) 2
Docker / Kubernetes (AWS / OpenShift advantageous)
Code versioning (Git)
Jenkins
Apache Kafka
Kibana
Grafana
Terraform
Ansible
Heartbeat
