JOB SUMMARY:
Estimator

B Degree – Financial and related
Registration will be an added advantage.
Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQA) or South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)
6-8 years experience in the following:

Multiple Project Environment experience
Budgeting, Forecasting,
Cash flow and cost trends
Sound understanding of project management in relation to cost, dependencies and critical paths, scheduling and procurement
Project cost estimation field
Variation control functions and integration

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main purpose of the Job
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the project estimations are constructed in such a manner as to secure value for money, cost certainty and programme dates.

Develop Project cost estimates and cost advice
Liase with package engineers to understand the cost requirement for work, align to POP, WBS and scheduled CBE estimates
Draw up Bills of Quantities
Evaluate replacements cost
Evaluate cost efficiency, contingencies and escellations

Use packages and assign each item with the applicable tool and techniques to determine the cost estimate.
