Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of the role:

Price Tenders
Estimate all potential work
Handle Quantity Surveying on jobs once they start

Duties:

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with Professional Team
Undertaking costs analysis
Advising on procurement strategy with Buyer
Identifying and developing responses to commercial risks
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Allocating work to subcontractors
Allocating work to Labour- Only sub-contractors
Providing advice on contractual claims
Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Valuing completed work and arranging payments
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
Depending on the project, responsibilities can cover all aspects from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client
Checking of design changes and updating measurements on a regular basis
Weekly and Monthly processing of claims
Attend cost report meetings

Our Client is a Structural steel contractor who are wanting to appoint an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years experience. Must have firm Estimating skills
