Events Coordinator/ Specialist

SUMMARY:
Our client in Rosebank is looking for a Senior Events Coordinator to join their team for a 3 month contract

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric required
• Related tertiary qualification is preferred
• 4+ Years proven experience as an Events Coordinator
• Experience working with vendors required
• Experience negotiating with vendors required
• Experience identifying potential webinars and events, nationally and internationally required
• Experience compiling budgets and ensuring that events stay within set budgets required
• Experience obtaining quotations and negotiating for best prices required
• Experience doing site/ venue inspections required
• Experience creating programs for events required
• Experience inviting and briefing journalists required
• Experience marketing events required
• Arranging catering for events
• Experience arranging contracts, SLAs, booking forms and detailed terms and conditions with event sponsors, speakers and vendors required
• Must be willing and able to work after hours (Event specific)
• Must be willing to travel extensively for Event purposes
• Must be available to start immediately
