Executive: Bancassurance

SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solution's client is looking for an Executive Bancassurance (Short-Term Insurance) to be based in Johannesburg.  You must have proven experience in driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence within the Bancassurance channel of the short-term insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong insurance background with proven experience in underwriting, reinsurance, and sales, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage key stakeholder relationships.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Degree (NQF Level 6) in Commerce or Insurance (Postgraduate Degree preferred – NQF Level 7)
• Executive-level experience in the Insurance sector with direct accountability for profit and loss
• Demonstrated experience in sales, distribution, and leading large teams
• Experience in managing strategic partnerships and driving business growth
• Knowledge of reinsurance and insurance deal structuring
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements

• Develop and execute the Bancassurance strategy aligned to business objectives
• Drive sales and profitability in Homeowners Comprehensive and Commercial Lines portfolios
• Lead Technical Underwriting and Reinsurance functions
• Build and manage strategic partnerships across the banking ecosystem
• Collaborate with Retail Bank and Short-Term Insurance leadership to maximise cross-functional integration
• Identify opportunities to expand market share and penetrate new segments
• Leverage data insights to guide business decisions and improve performance
• Promote innovation and digital enablement across insurance products and services
• Foster a high-performance culture and talent development pipeline
• Ensure governance, compliance, and risk standards are met across the business unit
