Leading long-term insurance provider, with a sound reputation, are looking to appoint an Executive Head: Actuarial and Risk to spearhead their organisation

In this critical role, provide leadership and strategic direction in the development of their Actuarial Assurance Framework to mitigate risk and ensure business sustainability, generating efficiencies as well as the strategic management of the Actuarial a risk team.

Your responsibilities will include stakeholder engagement with Executive Heads and Exco, Distribution channels (groups and retail), statutory and regulatory bodies, external stakeholders (customers and broker channels and internal stakeholders(finance, legal etc) as well as Actuarial, risk and reporting functions.

Degree majoring in Maths / Statistics / Actuarial Science / related. Qualified Actuary with a relevant actuarial body (ASSA, FIA etc) coupled with a min of 10 years actuarial experience with life insurance very preferable, a detailed knowledge of actuarial valuations and financial reporting of the life insurance business under IFRS ad FSV, working experience with the SAM Pillar 1 requirements for life insurance, insurance risk management, ORSA, pricing and product development experience, an understanding of long-term insurance operations, with a strong life insurance (group and retail) reporting background essential.
