Company and Job Description:
A leading organisation in the infrastructure and construction sector is seeking a highly skilled and driven Group Financial Accountant to join its Head Office team in Roodepoort. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and is ready to take ownership of group-level financial reporting and compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting across the group and its statutory entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse financial reports for the group and all statutory entities
Compile accurate financial statements and monthly board packs
Manage general ledger entries and ensure proper documentation of transactions
Oversee taxation compliance across the group
Review VAT calculations and submissions
Manage and coordinate external audits
Review and authorise company payments (banking platforms)
Implement and maintain accounting systems and internal controls
Drive BEE compliance processes in collaboration with internal teams and consultants
Support operational teams with financial queries
Maintain statutory documentation (Tax, WCA, Banking, etc.)
Supervise the Finance team (Creditors, Cashbook, Fixed Assets) and ensure optimal performance

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom in Finance and Accounting
5 - 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
Completed articles with an audit firm
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
Proficiency in JDE and advanced Microsoft Excel
