•  Proactively research, develop and establish the specified standards to be

applied in the area of enforcement, approval, evaluation and issuance of

Legal & Aviation Compliance contracts, litigation, legal opinions, as well as

regulations and technical amendment processes.

Operational

Manage costing mechanisms so as to ensure accurate revenue, costing and

•  Manage the provision of comprehensive legal advisory services to the

SACAA to minimise legal and compliance risks and provide commercial

legal support and advice on litigation.

•  Take the lead and ensure the coordination of strong defence of the

organisation against lawsuits that may arise.

•  Advise the SACAA on legal compliance, which includes the creation of

legislative & regulatory awareness, and the compilation of relevant

compliance reports.

•  Conduct research in order to provide informed legal opinions and advice on

various legal matters within set turnaround times.

•  Oversee and ensure a top-class and effective technical library management

system that is up to date with aviation regulation collection, publications, and

other relevant aviation technical documentation.

•   Keep abreast of new developments and all changes in litigation and support

the SACAA in the implementation thereof, so as to ensure compliance to

ICAO regulations, policies and procedures.

•  Liaise with external legal service providers in respect of the agency’s

litigation matters and provide advice.

•  Define and manage the scope of the regulatory enforcement regime and

carry out enforcement actions as required.

•  Manage and review operational performance against the organisational plan

to ensure maximum integration of programmes and projects.

•  Manage & oversee the development, review and implementation of policies

and procedures to ensure their validity and compliance to ICAO Legal &

Aviation Compliance services.
