Executive Operations Manager in the Office of the DVC: Teaching and Learning - Ref No: 8453

SUMMARY:
Job Purpose:

The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint an Executive Operations Manager who will manage the provision of executive support services in the Office of the DVC: Teaching and Learning to ensure smooth functioning of the office including efficient utilisation of its resources. The incumbent will expeditiously handle correspondence, communication and prepare authentic high-level reports with data analysis and evidence for strategic advice; will coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the implementation of divisional strategic objectives and operational plans and teaching and learning related projects. The position supports all aspects of the executive office including administration, operations management, stakeholder liaison, resource utilisation, communication as well as strategic reporting.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• Master’s degree, Doctoral degree will be a strong advantage
• 10 years of relevant higher education experience, including proven experience in a similar and challenging high-profile role supporting senior/executive management
• Demonstrable knowledge of or experience in national policies and regulations regarding higher education teaching, learning, programmes and qualifications
• Evidence of report reviewing and writing skills or experience for a senior/executive management audience.

• Experience in a leadership role and/or supporting senior/executive management.
• Demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective relationships with leaders, staff, partners, other stakeholders both within the University and the Higher Education sector, and beyond, with the ability to adapt style accordingly.
• Approachable, with a high level of personal motivation, energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to independently manage projects with attention to detail.
• An understanding of the operations and affairs of a university environment especially at an executive/senior management level will be an added advantage
