Together with our client, a Medical administration company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for Executive Strategy and Risk Manager who have the ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment. The Ideal Candidate needs to have 8 years of senior management experience, and a Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration/Management/ Finance

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Business Performance

  • Supports the Principal Officer by orchestrating the strategy formulation and execution process whilst ensuring strong collaborative participation and rapport within the EXCO and BoT;
  • Leads all strategic planning and analytical activity for the organisation, with the goal of aligning performance, and bringing a strong analytical and critical thinking culture;
  • Implements a business Performance Management System to track the client''s performance;
  • Leads the identification and implementation of value adding business opportunities and member delivery improvements by introducing innovation, and transformation into the client''s business to improve overall performance;

 

Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting

  • Leads the deployment, utilisation and optimisation of data analytics capabilities including building databases/models of information that may not be readily available to inform business strategy development, operational excellence and performance monitoring and reporting; and
  • Positions the client as a key role player in the industry by contributing though leadership to shape healthcare policy by preparing and presenting evidence of healthcare trends using its data analysis.

 

Actuarial Services

  • Oversees effective implementation of actuarial services including predictive analytics, big data and operations research, long-term and annual projections, pricing, modelling to predict risk and cost saving initiatives, studies to quantify the impact of interventions on healthcare trends such as claims and outcomes, valuations, etc. to fulfil the client’s statutory needs.

 

Risk Management and Combined Assurance

  • Oversees the development and execution of the clients’s enterprise-wide risk management and combined assurance strategy to achieve a positive risk status

 

 

 

Special Projects

  • Identifies, scopes and leads implementation of special projects.
  • Monitors implementation of strategic initiatives across the company.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • NQF Level 9 Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration/Management/ Finance
  • 10 years’ experience in senior management at a medical schemes or comparable environment
  • 8 years at senior management experience
