SUMMARY:
A well-established company in Germiston is seeking an External Sales Consultant from technical, plastic, packaging or manufacturing industry

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Matric
At least 5 years relevant sales experience (B2B) preferably in technical, manufacturing, plastic or packaging industry
Proven track record in external sales – demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
Sage experience advantageous
Strong technical background or proven ability to understand and sell technical products
Experience in new business development, cold calling and prospecting

Duties

Consistently meet and exceed sales objectives with a strong emphasis on increasing overall revenue.
Proactively seek out new business by identifying prospects, generating opportunities, and turning them into confirmed sales.
Execute plans aimed at growing product penetration within both current clients and new market segments.
Build and sustain a strong pipeline of opportunities, demonstrating a highly proactive and driven sales mindset.
Effectively showcase and explain technical product capabilities to customers, ensuring clear understanding of value and application.
Track and communicate sales results, including pipeline activity, conversion success, and progress against targets.
Work closely with internal departments to support smooth customer onboarding and ensure technical specifications are met.
Develop a thorough understanding of products and their applications, applying this knowledge in customer interactions.
Organise and maintain a structured schedule for customer engagements in line with company expectations.
Evaluate customer portfolios and market conditions to set strategic sales goals and action plans.
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable product solutions to address their needs.
Actively promote the company’s offerings to support business growth objectives.
Strengthen and nurture relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term value.
Grow existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities for products or services.
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and factors influencing market expansion.
Provide management with regular updates, including forecasts and progress reports.
Ensure products and services are delivered accurately and in accordance with agreed timelines and standards.
