Position: FINANCIAL MANAGER (CA)

Package: Comprehensive CTC package with performance bonus.

Guaranteed package +_ R1M – R1.3M

Area: Johannesburg North

Our client, an international player in the Engineering field, is looking to employ the services of a CA. You will be reporting to the MD of the company in SA, but your direct financial report will be abroad at the head office.

You will be the most senior finance person in SA, although your designation is FM. The individual needs to be competent with forex transactions. You will be responsible for Finance, Controlling and IT (there is an IT Manager). You will be required to go on training for 1 week in Europe.

Your duties will include but is not limited to:

• Compilation and Reconciling of Annual Financial Statements
• Independent Review of Annual Financial Statements
• Audit of Annual Financial Statements
• Payroll and VAT reconciliations and calculations
• Corporate Tax computations (income and deferred tax)
• Manage Tax calculations and return submissions
• Management of creditors'' function (including supplier payment, reconciling to supplier statement)
• Management of debtors'' function (including debt collection and reconciling debtors'' balances)
• Reconcile salary information provided by third party salary administrators to bank account payments
• Responsible for the Support and promotion of group wide processes and projects in order to enable the global and international finance organisation of the group
• Prepare an expense budget report
• Responsible for Cash and currency management maintaining solvency is possible at any time, minimizing currency and interest losses.

• Competent with FOREX transactions
• Ideal industry background will be from the engineering field, but it is important that you worked with an importer and also with a company with a head office based abroad
• Minimum 15 years‘ financial experience

Requirements:

• Proven results in organisational and technical issues
• Sound Experience with Corporate online Banking
• BaaN experience will be an advantage
• Good experience in Accounts payable/Creditor Processing
• Excel advanced
• eFiling competency is a requirement
• VAT 201 submission &reconciliation
• Excellent Oral and written Communication Skill
• Highly knowledgeable in the broad spectrum of Finance and Accountancy
