FITTER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PURPOSE: To repair and assemble new Couplings in the workshop as per agreed design drawings and assembly specifications.

Responsibilities:

To Assess, Assemble, Repair and Test couplings, Hydraulic pumps, Cardon shafts, and BHS Gearboxes to standard Specifications
As part of a team manage and drive projects to completion on time and to customer specification as and when required
Repair all couplings as per the repair procedures and specification
Ensure that all repairs are tested/balanced as per customer request and specification
Attend to customer requirements both on and off site
Liaise with customers visiting on site on matters of repair and testing of affected customer’s unit to maximize value for client and Client

Requirements:

Fitter/mechanical trade with necessary proof documents
Other trades will be considered: toolmaker, mechanical/electrical fitter or Millwright etc
5 years post apprenticeship, or 10 years’ experience in Fitter/ trade or other trades such as Toolmaker, Fitter and Turner, Fitter Machinist and Millwright

Ideal:

Fitter / Millwright trade qualifications with necessary proof of documents with Major OEM training (qualification) on power transmission and related products
15 years’ experience in a workshop / field service working on power transmission products
