POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate for the Facilitator role is someone passionate about educating youth and fostering a positive learning environment. They should have exceptional people skills, a relevant education or language qualification, and experience in teaching, mentorship, or youth leadership. Proficiency in Afrikaans and English is essential, along with strong communication abilities to engage with learners, parents, and staff effectively.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant educational qualifications in languages or related fields.
• Previous experience as a teacher, facilitator, or within a student residence environment.
• Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Background in working with learners through teaching, mentoring, or youth leadership roles.
• Familiarity with coaching life skills such as communication or conflict resolution, considered advantageous.
• Valid first aid certification.
• Capability to handle emergencies, conflicts, or challenging behavior with composure and fairness.
• Ability to effectively interact with learners, parents, and staff.
• Flexibility with working hours and adaptability to varying responsibilities.

• Supervise and manage learners’ schedules, including activities like waking, meals, and bedtimes.
• Monitor learners’ physical health and provide necessary medical assistance.
• Oversee and manage staff members effectively.
• Coordinate course schedules, activities, and assessments.
• Deliver engaging and hands-on sessions to promote active learner participation.
• Organize group activities, discussions, and roleplay scenarios for real-life simulation.
• Assist in implementing holiday programs and academic excellence initiatives.
