JOB SUMMARY:
Technical Project Engineer required for major Healthcare and hospital Group. Engineering projects, asset replacement,Â shutdowns, functionality tests or breakdowns, and the co-ordination thereof.
The person we require will ensure that the appointed, external professional consultants execute their scope in
accordance with the applicable standards. Must have skills in Building services such as mechanical, electrical, fire and other building services. Main role is Project Management and relationship management.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

FACILITIES PROJECT ENGINEER: SERVICES
Project Engineering require to render support on all projects specifically focusing on design and technical integrity and quality at a major Health care and hospital Group..

Project engineer will oversee other Consulting engineers and professional services that renders services to the hospital group.

QUALIFICATION:

National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

5 years working experience in Project Engineering and/ or Management in Healthcare; engineering or Service Industry
GCC (factories) advantageous
Facility Management qualification highly desireable
Any project Management qualification beneficial.
PR Eng./Tech. at ECSA

Â Knowledge required:

Extensive knowledge in the hospital environment within all disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Wet services and other engineering services in the hospital environment.
Knowledge in National Building Regulations.
Proficient understanding of the OHSA.
Knowledge in of the statuary hospital regulations, specifically with regards to hospitals, theatres and industrial kitchens.
Knowledge of contract documentation such as JBCC or PROCSA

Responsibilities:

Ensure proper compliance of all designs and installations to applicable toÂ international standards.
Project management role of smaller projects from project initiation stage, concept design and feasibility stage, detailed design stage, project implementation stage and evaluation and review stage.
Investigative report, concept design report, and scope of work, functional design report, detailed design report, tender documentation and post project data pack.
Responsible for the updating of electrical, mechanical, medical gases, HVAC and Wet Services as. built documentation for modification projects and for existing facilities.
Responsible for the development of policies and procedures including engineering design manuals, medical gases, hot water generation, rotating equipment, fire systems, health and safety.
Ensuring general compliance to SANS, OHS ActÂ
Electrical equipment and HVAC philosophiesÂ and implementation/ construction overseeing.
