One of the largest shipping and courier companies are looking for an innovative Facility manager to join their results driven team.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

  • The successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain optimised working environments for DHL staff. 
  • Manage soft services such as but not limited to cleaning, plumbing, vending, and maintenance.
  • Identify, develop and lead interior office design & infrastructure projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to the agreed scope that meets Customer (internal and external) and Network expectations (BCA)
  • Project Management:
  • Planning and administration of multi-disciplinary projects as directed.
  • Preparation of budgets for Capital Expenditure Projects (CAPEX) and the implementation thereof.  To include the Business Case preparation and presentation for approvals according to DOAG.
  • AutoCAD Drawings, ergonomic reviews, lead H&S facilities compliance, implement “go-green” initiatives, and manage facility maintenance and repair.
  • Designing and specifying finishes for office spaces to align with prescribed regulations and GSOP.
  • Property Management:
  • Strategic alignment to ensure best-in-class facilities for effective and efficient operational execution.
  • Engaging and negotiating with property owners and landlords on lease renewals for existing leases and in the case of new premises rentals, coordinating new leases and offers to lease.
  • Administrative:
  • Prepare and submit monthly vendor invoices either using manual system or on-line Procurement system (GET).
  • Facilities and related infrastructure account queries and escalations.
  • Asset Management and Country Office stock control.
  • Miscellaneous:
  • Management and coordination of In-land maintenance help desk.
  • Scheduling and planning of facility maintenance and repair work (planned and unplanned)
  • Provide support to the SSA Engineering team for the implementation of selected projects

 

Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years in Facilities Management & Project Management.
  • Space planning and design
  • Property and lease management
  • Maintenance and repairs
  • Asset Management
  • SHE
  • Green Initiatives
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Strong Project Management (incl types and values)
  • Good team management skills
  • Vendor management
  • Good negotiator

 

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering and or facility management or similar.
