UK opportunity - Factory Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Opportunity for a South African, wanting to live and have a career in the UK, who is committed, logical, methodical and self disciplined.

Engineering, Stores and Maintenance responsibilities  for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with understanding of electrical, and relevant food industry experience.  

Servicing of factory equipment to ensure production and cost targets are met:  According to the Engineering Budget and Production Targets

Keep up processes, kit and systems, to ensure quality and spec are  met  in food factory

Ensure equipment available for production, by developing knowledge of the factory food products and machinery quickly. Fully evaluate maintenance needs, costs and availability to decide if run to failure or replace . Keep records of all equipment. Ensure safety of area, food safety and company best practices are followed.

Show improving trend on weekly KPIs, zero rejections, cost control.

Hands on, energetic person who is active on factory floor daily.  Ensure the daily work and equipment readiness  therefore enabling plan completion. Make sure machinery is available for production . Look for issues, be aware of machinery problems and unfinished jobs.

Attend to breakdowns promptly. One man one job. Disciplined, ensure clean as you go approach in factory, workshop and stores.

Ensure engineering stock is booked out and accounted for.

Proactive person, constantly looking for improvement, quality conscious.

Maintain the safety culture, live the health, hygiene  and safety values.
