Position: Fast Moving Brand Pre-Owned Sales Manager

Salary: Basic R25 000.00 – Market Related (Commission, Medical Contribution, UIF, Provident Fund Contribution, Company Vehicle)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as Pre-Owned Sales Manager in one dealership / group consecutively 
  • Clear ID Copy 
  • Clear Driver’s License Copy 
  • Last 3 Months Pay slips 
  • Neat photo of yourself 
  • Up to date DETAILED CV 
  • Clean criminal record (Non Negotiable)
  • Clear ITC record (No bad debt / Non Negotiable) 
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
  • Must read / write & speak English 
  • Must computer literate  
  • Clean Cut and well groomed 
EXPERIENCE: 
  • The individual we are looking to employ MUST meet the minimum requirements and under no circumstances will exceptions be made. 
  • The successful candidate will be required to achieve daily and monthly sales (30 – 35 Pre owned units per month) and sales activity targets, attend training, and attend functions with both the company and the manufacturer. 
  • Must be ambitious, energetic and determined to succeed.
  • The candidate must be honest / reliable and transparent.
  • The candidate must not only be a manager but better a leader.
  • Minimum 5 years franchised dealer experience (Private selling of vehicles does not count). 
 Duties include but not limited to: 
  • Managing the sales team of 6-8 sales executives closing a min of 35 deals per month 
  • Budgets
  • Floor Plan 
  • The purpose of this position is ensuring that the Department maximizes gross profit and unit sales, Rand sales and 2nd gross targets are met.
  • Ensuring that the Department maximizes gross profit and ensures unit sales, Rand sales and 2nd gross targets are met. 
  • Working closely with the F&I Manager to ensure that all financial and insurance requirements are adhered to. 
  • Stock and Asset Management - ensuring that stock and cash is managed accordingly. 
  • Communicating all procedural requirements to Department personnel and ensuring implementation thereof. 
  • Ensuring that required reports are forwarded timeously. 
  • Meeting with all staff at least three times a week to discuss the following: 
  • - Month end results.
  • - Local marketing activities. 
  • - Business opportunities. 
  • - Weaknesses and ways to counter them. 
  • Ensuring that all F&I administrative functions and compliance are efficiently carried out by department personnel. 
  • Ensuring that all department staff are trained on internal courses as well as on the job training to maximize efficiency and productivity. 
  • Carrying out performance appraisals as required.
  • Help develop a culture for professional collaboration, team building, consensus building, and conflict resolution. 
  • Knowledge of the area’s most spoken languages an advantage.
