About the Opportunity Our client operates within the short-term rental and hospitality sector, delivering exceptional guest experiences across a portfolio of premium apartments and accommodation units in Ballito. They are seeking a reliable, hands-on, detail-orientated Field Lead to join their operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring properties are guest-ready, maintained to the highest standards, and consistently deliver a five-star experience. Position Overview The Field Lead is responsible for conducting property inspections, managing apartment readiness, coordinating linen and amenity deliveries, quality-checking cleaning standards, escalating maintenance issues, and ensuring all operational requirements are completed before guest arrival. The successful candidate will act as the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring properties consistently meet company standards and guest expectations . Key Responsibilities Property Inspections & Guest Readiness Conduct daily pre-arrival and post-departure inspections of assigned apartments. Complete readiness sign-offs before guest arrivals. Ensure apartments meet presentation and quality standards. Verify inventory, amenities, furnishings, and appliances are present and functioning correctly. Identify and resolve issues before guest check-in wherever possible. Quality Assurance Conduct quality checks on completed cleaning services. Ensure apartments are presented to company standards. Monitor housekeeping performance and escalate concerns where required. Ensure all guest-facing areas remain clean, functional, and welcoming. Maintenance Coordination Identify maintenance defects, damages, and operational issues. Capture and log all incidents accurately within the company systems. Upload photographic evidence and detailed descriptions of issues. Coordinate minor repairs, maintenance follow-ups, and service provider access where required. Linen & Amenities Management Manage scheduled linen, consumables, and amenities routes between operational sites. Ensure all units are adequately stocked before guest arrivals. Maintain inventory standards and report shortages proactively. Administration & Reporting Capture inspections, incidents, maintenance issues, and quality findings using company systems. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Ensure all issues are logged promptly and communicated appropriately. Weekend Operations Support Participate in rotational weekend coverage. Provide operational support to ensure uninterrupted guest service delivery. Respond to property-related issues when required. Minimum Requirements Essential Valid South African Driver’s Licence. Comfortable driving between multiple properties and estates. Physically fit and capable of spending extended periods walking, climbing stairs, and working on-site. Strong attention to detail and presentation standards. Reliable, punctual, and highly accountable. Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, messaging platforms, and basic computer systems. Willingness to work rotational weekends. Advantageous Experience within hospitality, housekeeping, property management, facilities management, accommodation services, or a similar operational environment. Own reliable transport. Resides in or near Ballito.
