Field Research Technician

SUMMARY:
To help the Agronomists and Regional Manager in all their duties within the goals and values of the company.

POSITION INFO:

• Establish relationship with customers and employees based on the values defined by the company;
• Accomplishing periodic visits to distributors and customers, aiming to understand the needs and offer solutions after analysis and propose solutions aligned with the Agronomist and the RM;
• Helping on prospecting new customers in the region and make an initial analysis with support Agronomists and RM to support business strategy;
• Support the distributor management with the guidance of the Agronomists and the RM;
• Support the Agronomist and the RM on the execution of the Action Plan within the quality standards established by the company;
• Help to accomplish the sales process: making quick deliveries within the necessary time aiming to increase sales and satisfy customers;
• Help to ensure the assembling demonstration trials, manage the development, applications, and harvest with excellence, sending the results to the company and customers with support of the departments involved in these processes;
• Contributing to the flow of information between customers and the company, anticipating problems and actively participating in discussions of alternative solutions with agronomists, RM, Managment and departments of the company (teamwork);
• Submitting timely reports (activities, visits and flows) and prior weekly schedule of activities to ensure business strategy;
• Contributing to collaboration with all departments of the company: meet deadlines with quality, share results and good practices, have critical analysis and communication initiative to increase team work;
• Contributing with knowledge dissemination through capacity building actions for the distribution system, end users and influencers in their region of operation, aligned with agronomists and the RM;
• Contributing to carry out after sales guaranteeing the efficiency and performance of products in the field to increase sales.

Key Performance Indicators

• Help the agronomists to reach Sale´s budget in Rands and Liters;
• Quantity of field trials installed;
• Quality of management, quantity and quality of result compiled;
• Help to established new customers;
• Number of shared activities and help to your partner;
• Improvements on required knowledge (plant nutrition, physiology, soil science, crops management, field trial´s statistic);
• Improvement on product’s knowledge;

Required Education and Experience

• BAgric or BTech in Agriculture (Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Physiology, Agronomy or a combination of these relevant fields);
• Proven experience in field trials management advantageous;
• Knowledge of the methodology for assembling, conducting and harvesting fields trials;
• Knowledge of presentation techniques in a clear and assertive way;
• Approved in BASOS (FERTASA) advantageous;
• Drivers’ license;
• MS Office advanced skills (mainly Power Point and Excel).
