Field Service Technician
Nelspruit
R18 000 - R23 000 Per month

My client is looking for a field service technician at their branch in Nelspruit. They specialize in Irrigation and their Head Office is based in the Western Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Must have completed grade 12
One of the following qualifications will be acceptable: An electrical trade qualification (N2/N3), megatronics diploma or degree, electronics diploma or degree
CompTIA A+, N+ or Cisco Certification
Basic protocols - core route switch
Configuration and troubleshooting wireless networks
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver's license
Proficient computer skills - MS Office Suite
Duties: - Conduct on site visits to clients to carry out fault finding and servicing of existing automation and control products
Installation, set-up, testing and commissioning of new automation and control products
Installation, set-up, testing and commissioning of pump motor control panels and systems
Provide client training on newly installed and existing control and automation systems
Be willing to travel extensively within the region
Experience in AC Variable Speed Drives and Soft Starters, electrical motor fault finding, programmable logic relays, instruments and hydraulic controls
At least 2 years working experience as a technician in any of these field: CCTV, Access Control and Alarms systems, Radio frequency technician, network engineer OR electrical technician
